Delivery Process for SellersUpdated 5 months ago

Once your bike has sold, you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to fulfill the order. The buyer can choose either to have the bike shipped or to collect it in person. This article covers only the process for shipping the bike to the buyer.

Shipping Process

All shipments are arranged by MyNextBike on behalf of both the buyer and seller. For most UK orders, we use a specialist courier partner who collects bikes fully assembled and delivers them directly to the buyer, typically either the same day or the next day.

Please note, if either the seller or buyer is located outside of mainland UK, or if the distance between the buyer and seller exceeds 400 miles within mainland UK, our standard courier won’t be able to fulfill the delivery. In these cases, we will send the seller a bike box to package the bike and arrange an alternate courier for the collection and delivery. The buyer covers the costs of this shipping.

Standard Shipping Process

  1. Once the buyer places an order, you will receive an immediate notification and a form to book a collection date with our courier. Couriers can collect as early as 2 days after the order is placed. Collections are available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 2pm, so you can select a date that works best for you.
  2. After confirming the date, the buyer will be notified and needs to confirm the collection date before we finalise the booking with the courier.
  3. On the collection day, you will receive tracking information in the morning, allowing you to track your bike’s journey to the buyer. This live tracking URL provides real-time updates. Simply hand over your bike when the driver arrives, and they’ll handle the rest—there’s no need to disassemble the bike or pack it into a box.

Is My Bike Safe?

Yes, your bike is safe! It is securely tied inside the van during transit. With one driver handling both the collection and delivery, there is less risk of the bike being moved multiple times, which could cause damage. Additionally, we insure every bike in transit, meaning you are protected in case the bike is lost or damaged. If any issues arise, you will be paid immediately for the sale—there’s no waiting around for claims to be processed. For more information on seller protections, please refer to this article.

Bike Box Shipping Process

For non-UK mainland orders or if the distance between the buyer and seller exceeds 400 miles, our standard courier cannot deliver. In these cases, we will arrange for the bike to be shipped in a bike box.

  1. We will send you a bike box, along with instructions on how to pack the bike and any necessary packaging materials.
  2. Once the bike is packed and ready for shipping, you can contact us to arrange a courier (either DHL or APC) to collect the bike and deliver it to the buyer.
  3. As with the standard process, each shipment is fully insured.
